Soks had a year of rehabilitation and is in good condition and enjoying some well deserved time to enjoy life without worry of abuse or starvation. Soks is learning to trust humans once again and enjoys peppermints, spring grass and snoozes in the sun. He is reunited with Frankie and enjoying life

When the ILEHC rescued King he was skin over bones. At that time, he was a 14-year old Thoroughbred stallion who at one time had been a fairly successful racehorse. However, he ended up in the hands of an abuser and was neglected and starved for many years. ILEHC provided proper nutrition and medical attention. Once that phase was completed, the ILEHC made the difficult decision, given King's age, to have him gelded. That was successful and during late spring, he was turned out with the other ILEHC geldings. He was fully recovered and the human/horse bond developed between him and one of the ILEHC volunteers.

Bling is a 2010 Filly and when she arrived at the ILEHC, she was emaciated and suffered from a debilitating and painful case of rain-rot. With proper nutrition during their formative years being essential for young horses to reach their full growth potential, the ILEHC feared that Bling might never fully recover from the neglect she had endured. However, with months of proper and sufficient feed, medical care and LOTS of people attention, Bling fully recovered and was adopted by a wonderful family who will get years of enjoyment from this lovely horse. We are so very pleased!
