                        2011 Fund Raising Challenge!!!

Put the Power of Your Imagination to Work for the Horses!

Fundraising must be a year round effort with any non-profit organization. One or two large events will pay the majority of the bills but without continuous cash flow, some of the horses needs may not be met. They need our help!

We are asking you, our wonderful members and supporters to think “outside the box” and come up with ways to raise money for our equine guests. The ideas are limitless and no amount of money raised is too small. This can be a family project where even the smallest member can contribute, a Girl or Boy Scout troop, 4-H project, or a school challenge. Put your talents, passion, and imagination to work for the horses!

                        Listed below are some ideas:

                        • Host a dog or car wash
                        • Challenge your family to give up coffee, snacks, etc. and donate the money to ILEHC
                        • Garage, yard, craft, tack, or bake sale
                        • Host a game night at home - charge admission and have fun
                        • Host a spaghetti dinner or pancake breakfast – charge admission
                        • Host a karaoke or bunco tournament night
                        • Challenge your friends to donate their babysitting wages
                        • Cut grass, weed gardens, mend and paint fences for your family and neighbors
                        • Pajama day at school - charge students to wear pajama’s to school
                        • Dress down day at work - charge co-workers to be able to come work in comfortable clothes
                        • Host a neighborhood carnival or block party
                        • Class to class challenges - donate your change for one month and see which class wins
                        • Bagging for bucks - see if your local grocery store will let your bag groceries for donations
The fundraising possibilities are endless. Use your imagination and have great fun helping the horses!!!!
